We’ll cover your electric car’s battery, whether it is owned or leased, if it becomes damaged as a result of an insured incident.
Windscreen cover
We’ll pay to replace or repair broken glass in the windscreen, sunroof or windows of your car less any excess that applies.
Personal accident
If you, your partner or a named driver on the policy suffer a serious injury while travelling in, or getting in or out of your car, our Drive Away Insurance protects you with £5,000 personal accident cover.
Electric charging cables cover
Our Drive Away Insurance covers you in the event of accidental damage, fire or theft of your electric charging cables and your home charger. This also covers accidents caused by any electric charging cables when attached to your car.
Child seat replacement
We’ll cover the cost of replacing any child seat with a new one of the same (or similar) model and standard following theft, accident or fire.

With the purchase of a new or Approved Used Škoda you can benefit from five days’ complimentary insurance cover. Simply activate online or by phone, and once you have received your confirmation of cover you can drive away with ease knowing your Škoda is in expert hands.
Who is Drive Away Insurance designed for?
Škoda Drive Away Insurance is only available to customers who have purchased a new or Approved Used Škoda from a Škoda retailer.
Does it cost anything to activate Drive Away Insurance?
No, it doesn’t cost anything to activate your drive away cover. However, in the event of a claim a fixed excess will apply for all Accidental Damage, Fire and Theft claims.
When can I activate Drive Away Insurance?
Your Škoda retailer will provide you with the information you need in order to activate cover when you are collecting your new Škoda.
When will I receive my confirmation of cover?
Once you have activated your Škoda Drive Away Insurance, your confirmation of cover will be emailed to you. If you haven’t received confirmation of cover within 24 hours, please contact us. You will not be covered until you have received this.

What are the key eligibility criteria for this cover?
All drivers must:
- Be aged between 23 – 84
- Have held a full UK or EU driving licence for at least two years
- Be a permanent resident of England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland
- Not have been banned or disqualified from driving within the last five years
- Not use the vehicle for hire or reward

What cover does Drive Away Insurance provide?

- Damage by Fire or Theft: Your car and its accessories are protected against damage caused by fire, theft, or attempted theft.
- Liability Coverage: If you are involved in an accident, Drive Away Insurance covers your liability for injuries to other people or damage to their property.
- Accidental Damage: Your vehicle is covered for accidental damage, providing financial protection against unforeseen events.
